This blog isn't cute. I'm too old to be cute. I am however, gyaru, and I am opinionated. That, according to the standards of the internet, is enough to have a blog. Happie Nuts is a magazine that focuses on onee-gyaru style and is know for being very glamorous and sexy. The first time I went though this issue, I’ll be honest, I was very disappointed. It’s so honed in on celebrity style and the pulse of what hollywood is wearing, that it’s almost a bit too casual for my liking.
Menswear is a big influence with suspenders, tie necklaces, vests and hats. I love the big long vests.
The stripe top with high waisted floral skirt shows up again in this issue. I don’t know if I like it, but I wanted to make a note of it since it appeared twice.
I feel like i’ve seen this before.
Those cute little ruffle skirts are still very popular, which I love. I noticed in this issue the same thing I saw in Woofin’ Girl, no white blond overstyled hair. I refuse to give mine up though!
Again more celeb style. I think it’s a good time to say why I liked this issue after first hating it.
I pretty much dress like this. Yes, there are plenty of times where I go over the top, for going out or shopping on weekends, but most of the time I work 40 hours as a visual merchandiser and manager. I can’t wear heels and tons of jewelry. So by dressing in celebrity rock casual (just made that up btw) and really doing up my hair, nails and makeup, I can still represent a style I love so much!
Still liked the street snap better though.
