You are gal!
June 8th, 2009 by Coco received No Comments »I’m very happy to have taken a little time out of my busy life to set up a blog about one of my biggest passions.
I became interested in gyaru after small stints in decora and lolita without a solid connection to the style or community. I found ganguro and gave it a shot. I was not good at it at all, but the people were more than friendly and willing to help me in anyway I needed. Locally, me and some friends I recently met stormed the mall in crazy make and hair, getting a stern talking to by mall security more than once.
I went to my first major event in 2007, and met the members of Bulaklak Tribe, whom I was crazy about. Later they invited me to join their circle, and I could have easily cried with joy.
When I started, I felt as if I was interested in gal, but thought it was a little too much to call myself a gal. Now I feel confident in saying that, and I want everyone to feel entitled to say it.
Lovepinkcross isn’t really me sharing my knowledge with you in some sort of haughty way, but for me to toss info out there, you to reply to it, and for us to develop a center where we can all go to be inspired and informed.
Go do something to make yourself feel good today. Go get new nails, condition your hair, dance para until you fall over!
You are gal!

This blog isn't cute. I'm too old to be cute. I am however, gyaru, and I am opinionated. That, according to the standards of the internet, is enough to have a blog. I've been involved in western gyaru since '05, and I know everyone who is or was anyone in the western community. You wanna know secrets? I've got your secrets.
